Did you know India ranks 3rd amongst the greatest water polluters with more than 1,500,000 kg amount of water pollution daily?

As per the Economist report (2008) over 1000 children die of diarrheal each day in India and the numbers have only increased.

Don’t you find these figures alarming? Well, the Central Pollution Control Board of India does.

With a view to check the health of waterbodies, CPCB has made it a mandate for manufacturers across 17 different industries in India to install continuous online effluent water quality monitoring systems and to monitor the discharge of pollutants before releasing them in the waterbodies.

Now this has made these industry players panicky. Those who never stopped to bother about the release,of untreated waste water are on their toes already. Each one is hunting for a solution that ensures adherence to these guidelines from CPCB.

Well, every problem gives an opportunity to look for its right solution.

LogicLadder Technologies-an Environment and Energy Intelligence Company together with their technology partner, Real Tech Inc. is all set to address these issues. We have a solution for waste water quality analysis. A combination of hardware and software offers complete solution for all who are looking continuous online remote monitoring.

Team LogicLadder organized the much needed seminar on Decoding CPCB Guidelines – Choosing Right Set of technology and Software at India Habitat Center, New Delhi on 16th March 2015.

The session at IHC was an attempt to bring together the delegates from across industries like Chemicals,>Sugar, Pharmaceuticals, Tannery, Pulp & Paper, Fertilizers, Power Plants, Dye & Dye Intermediaries,Textiles etc. and shed light on this solution through a knowledge building exercise.

Drew Evans, Vice President of Business Development and Government Relations, Real Tech delivered an opening note with an introduction to Real Tech Inc. In his brief session, he talked about their footprint, market response, reputable clients, laurels and awards won for their comprehensive water quality monitoring equipment. This was followed by an introduction to LogicLadder by Mayank Chauhan, the CEO of LogicLadder Technologies. He talked about the presence, concept and evolution of LogicLadder over these years.

Keeping in with the momentum, Andrew Glover- President & CTO, Real Tech Inc. enlightened us with the technical jargons as he explained the important parameters and technology behind monitoring of effluents. He was elaborative in his approach and explained the nuances as to how different technologies were put to use to control the quality of discharged water.

For many of us, even the guidelines of CPCB are a complex notebook of rules. To make it understandable to all of us, Atindra Chandel ,Marketing Director, LogicLadder Technologies helped us decode the CPCB guidelines step by step. Along with it, he pointed out the challenges that have to be met while meeting the requirements of effluent quality monitoring.

He was upbeat about EnvirologicIQ and called it reliable, stable and scalable. The highlights of his crisp talks were

  •  Challenges in telemetry, data aggregation, delays, Server crash etc.
  •  Importance of two way communication and its role in real time monitoring
  •  M2M GPRS, Two way communicative, NTP synchronized, platform build on open protocols
  •  Historical data storage and data base management
  •  Operations and maintenance of the software

Mr. Prakash Kelkar, former Director Grade Scientist and Advisor at Maharashtra Government, also addressed the session. He emphasized on the usage and practical significance of the terms like-Bias, calibration, accuracy, precision etc. Later, the delegates were taken to a site for live demo that sealed the end of the session.
