San Jose, CA February 13, 2004--The Series 3350 is for applications where the user needs real-time closed-loop monitoring and control of the multi-fan ionizer controllers providing balance control to better than +/- 1 volt. Novx has developed this product to provide all the performance features of the Series 3300 but on a digital platform with microprocessor control, address identification and programmable alarm level set-points.

By listening to customer concerns regarding real-time ionizer balance monitoring and control, Novx has developed the Series 3350 technology to address this requirement. Novx has been providing closed-loop ionizer control in a single fan control version for many years with the Series 53xx Workstation / Process Equipment Event Detection System. The Series 3350 is an extension of this well-proven technology and allows the customer the flexibility to control multiple fans with a more cost-effective solution where multiple fans are required at any workstation or within a process tool.

This instrument represents a direct response to strategic customer communication that defines their process requirements for ESC/ESD-related monitoring for today and tomorrow's processes. The data output from the Series 3350 provides a proactive solution when interfaced directly to PEMS to receive and report warning or alarm conditions to control the process. As a system approach, this will help reduce process variations, decrease scrap/rework and improve process yields at the specific workstation level. This helps to improve process yields and increase tool availability with the end result being increased factory capacity. Utilizing the Series 3350 will result in a much more accurate way of evaluating and reporting ionizer performance and complements our complete line of ESC/ESD and environmental sensors.
