Minneapolis, MN December 16 2003--Applied Logic Engineering, Inc. (www.appliedlogiceng.com) announced today the release of two technical manuals for developers of embedded systems. These technical manuals will help designers easily implement various design elements to their new or existing project work.

Complete design concepts are explored (including schematics and source code) to demonstrate implementation of various peripheral elements of a single board computer, including interfacing to LCDs, parallel ports, serial ports, keypads, and basic I/O implementation.
Sony Control-L (LANC) and Control-S Interfacing and Design Guide covers hardware and software solutions for designing embedded systems that can control Sony consumer electronic equipment such as camcorders, VCRs, etc. from an embedded system. A complete embedded design using a Microchip PIC controller is presented, including full schematics and source code.
